The Chicago and North Judson railway was formed be the Lake States railway to take on operations of the rail line
owned be the City of North Judson, IN.
The City of North Judson owns the line and leases freight operations to the
Chesapeake & Indiana RR and
allows the Hoosier Valley Railroad Museum to conduct passenger operations on the line.
The was a problem with the Chesapeake & Indiana RR, which led to the City of
North Judson seeking a new freight operator.
The dispute has been settled and the Chesapeake & Indiana RR will continue to be the freight operator.
