History

The railroad started up on December 13, 1997, after acquiring from the BNSF (ex-CB&Q), the line from Montgomery to Streator, 56.6 miles. Also, acquired track rights, Montgomery to Eola (7.3 mile) and over all track in the Eola rial yard. On 1-8-1999, the railroad acquired the 'Rockford Subdivision' , Flagg Center to Rockford, 23.5 miles, from the BNSF.
The railroad was sold to Omnitrax, 5/5/2005.
