History

The railroad was created in 1948, the line once ran from Carpenterville, IL to Yorkville IL along the Fox River. The line ran through Elgin and Aurora. This track was purchased and served a number of customers, the largest was Elgin State Hospital. When the State Hospital switched from coal to gas, the railroad was sold to R.E.L.I.C., now known as the Fox Valley Trolley Museum.
